“Chimera” is a small exhibition at Craft Ontario that tackles a big question—where does the border between nature and culture lie?

The objects in this exhibition include taxidermied animals from the collection of curator Morgan Mavis, as well as ceramic sculptures by Julie Moon and multi-media sculptures by David R. Harper—an artist known for integrating taxidermy and embroidery into his work.

In the video below, Canadian Art online editor Leah Sandals takes a look at the show, which runs until November 22, 2014, in Toronto. Along the way, Sandals notes how “Chimera” addresses recurring issues of art-versus-craft as well.
