Today, the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and the Sobey Art Foundation announced the five finalists for the 2015 Sobey Art Award.
Lisa Lipton (Atlantic), Jon Rafman (Quebec), Abbas Akhavan (Ontario), Sarah Anne Johnson (Prairies and the North) and Raymond Boisjoly (West Coast and the Yukon) will be considered for the prize, which will be announced on October 28. $50,000 will go to the winner with $10,000 awarded to the other finalists and $500 to the longlisted artists.
An exhibition of works by the finalists will be on view at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia from September 26.
