For Gallery Hop Toronto 2011, Canadian Art held a panel on the theme of location with artists Sarah Anne Johnson, Jed Lind and An Te Liu. Johnson is a Winnipeg artist who has exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum and the Fondation Cartier. Lind is a Los Angeles–based Canadian artist who has shown at the Power Plant and the Santa Monica Museum of Art. An Te Liu is a Toronto artist who has been featured at the Venice Architecture Biennale and the Canadian Centre for Architecture. The panel, moderated by Canadian Art editor Richard Rhodes at the TIFF Bell Lightbox on September 24, offered a lively discussion on each artist’s practice and how it relates to ideas of site and place.
