The soon-to-be-Ottawa-based artist Andrew Wright, known for his large-scale photo-based projects that examine technologies of image making, was a semi-finalist in last year’s Sobey Art Award competition. In this interview with Canadian Art editor Richard Rhodes, he talks about his stint in the Canadian Forces Artists Program aboard the naval frigate HMCS Toronto and how it shaped the current exhibition of his work at Prefix ICA.
