Tousignant Portfolio: More Works from the Largest Survey Yet

Claude Tousignant, Double quatre-vingt-un, 1970 Collection of the artist / Photo Guy L’Heureux

Claude Tousignant is one of Canada’s greatest living abstract artists. While an interview, “Pop’s Art” in the Spring 2009 print edition of Canadian Art offers insights into his process, we wanted to give you more. Here, an online portfolio shows seven more works from his largest solo exhibition yet, which opened in February 2009 at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montreal. Towering sculptures, eye-popping diptychs and some little-seen works on paper all make an appearance.
