In the Studio with Syrus Marcus Ware

The Toronto-based activist-artist describes his recent drawing project

In this video, we visit the visual artist, community activist, researcher, youth-advocate and educator Syrus Marcus Ware in his studio. Ware has exhibited widely and—through the mediums of installation, painting and performance—he has dedicated his practice to finding aesthetic strategies for challenging systemic oppression. Here he discusses the process of his ongoing Activist Portrait Series.
