This morning, the Glenbow Museum issued a release stating that president and CEO Kirstin Evenden has resigned after 19 years at the institution to “pursue new avenues in her career.”

The announcement follows FFWD reports in recent months of deficits running more than $1 million in the past three years, as well as CBC reports of significant staff resignations.

The museum’s board of governors has announced the appointment of Donna Livingstone as interim president and CEO. Livingstone has previously been employed at the Glenbow as a governor and vice president; she is taking a leave from her current position at the University of Calgary to serve in this interim position.
