Canadian Art won Gold in the Best Email Newsletter category at the Canadian Online Publishing Awards in Toronto last night.
Canadian Art has been recognized in this category for several years running, winning Silver in 2015 and Gold in a previous year.
The award relates specifically to Canadian Art Weekly, our free-every-Thursday email newsletter offering web-exclusive art news, exhibition must-sees and critical opinions.
The Gold in this category recognizes excellence in design, content, editorial strategy and use of the e-mail medium. Sample subject lines and engagement metrics and were also provided as part of the award application.
Canadian Art‘s prize pertained to what are known as business-to-consumer publications. Other nominees in the category included Canada’s History, Cottage Life and Sharp Magazine.
