Greetings Canadian Art Stakeholders and Community,
Due to staff and public criticism, we have stopped the Reimagining Canadian Art process with the Design4 Team. Thank you to those who voiced concern with the Team’s engagement with the process. We heard you and your criticism influenced our decision.
Also, thank you to those who have contributed their knowledge and experiences. The information gathered will be catalogued and provided to the staff and board.
Thank you to the Design4 Team who took on the initiative in good faith. The initiative has been stopped through no fault of your own, but in respect for the wishes of our staff and our community.
Clearly, there is more trust that needs to be built between the staff and the board of Canadian Art before undertaking such an initiative. We will work on those internal matters and find a better time to engage our wider communities.
