An Interim Update from Canadian Art

The Canadian Art Foundation Board of Directors and its staff are currently in conversation about establishing processes for internal change. This work is slow. This is an interim update to share with readers and other stakeholders that a joint public statement, from board and staff, is forthcoming.

This week we published our Fall issue, Chroma, guest-edited by Yaniya Lee and Denise Ryner, which focuses on Black aesthetics and African-diasporic art practices. The issue is on newsstands now, and subscribers will soon receive it by mail, if they haven’t already. While we continue to do the work of structural change, we want to celebrate the contributions of the issue by posting a selection of its articles online and sharing them on our social media platforms.

We appreciate the patience of our readers, donors and other supporters while we undertake an important structural shift, and we look forward to providing a more detailed public statement shortly.
