For 13th edition of Mois de la Photo à Montréal, which runs from September 5 to October 5, British curator Paul Wombell has developed a program of 25 exhibitions around the theme Drone: The Automated Image.
Artists included in the festival and lavishly illustrated catalogue include Jon Rafman, Trevor Paglen, Mona Hatoum, Suzy Lake and Penelope Umbrico, among other internationally and nationally known creators.
A catalogue essay by Wombell introduces the exhibitions, while a rich colour section is dedicated to the artists’ works, and new essays by leading authors on contemporary art and technology illuminate cutting-edge practices.
For the first time, Mois de la Photo à Montréal has co-produced its publication with Kerber Verlag, a renowned German publisher of high-quality art books.
