Harcourt House Artist Run Centre is a charitable organization existing to support visual artists and to inspire the community through visual art exhibitions, education, low cost studio rentals and discourse.

In operation for over 27 years, Harcourt House Artist Run Centre is the single largest community of visual artists in Edmonton. A not-for-profit charitable organization, it provides a range of services and facilities for artists and community alike.

An alternative location for the presentation, distribution and promotion of contemporary art, Harcourt House presents 14 exhibitions a year between its two public galleries. The Front Room Gallery is dedicated to Edmonton’s local artists, and the Main Space Gallery showcases local, national and international artists. Together these spaces provide opportunities for emerging and established artists to exhibit new/recent, experimental and contemporary visual art.

Harcourt House provides over 40 subsidized studio spaces for local practicing artists and non-profit arts organizations. It also offers various art education programs including: artist instructed workshops, weekly uninstructed figure drawing/sculpting drop-in classes, youth art camps, as well as in-house and outreach programs for individuals, schools and communities that may otherwise not have access to art education.
