Temporary public art installations dot the industrial lakeshore of south Mississauga for the last weekend of this 10-day festival. With projects centred around questions of climate, environmental justice and land use, it’s an opportunity to see how artists can transform the machinations of industry into spaces for dialogue and debate. Among other Canadian and international artists, Tomás Saraceno’s aerial exploration devices and “flying museum,” Tania Willard’s Chinook wind catchers, Pejvak’s solar observatory and Xiaojing Yan’s translucent courtyard made of string are all not to be missed.
