Canadian Art is pleased to announce that it has been nominated for two National Magazine Awards.

Novelist and journalist Timothy Taylor has been nominated in the Arts & Entertainment/Writing category for his cover story on Vancouver street photographer Fred Herzog, published in the Winter 2013 issue of the magazine. To read this article, click here.

Photographer Miguel Jacob has been nominated in the Portrait Photography/Visual category for his shot of Shary Boyle in Murray Whyte’s feature on Boyle’s Venice Biennale project, published in the Summer 2013 issue of the magazine. To read this article, click here.

The list of nominees was released this morning.

The winners of the 37th annual National Magazine Awards will be announced at a gala held on June 6 at the Carlu in Toronto.
