TAKE IN THE STORYLINES SERIES
Curated by Canadian Art editor Richard Rhodes, the exhibition series “Storylines: Space, Colour, Geometry” features work by some of Canada’s best contemporary artists. During the Thursday opening-night event and on Friday, the Sobey Prize–nominated, Winnipeg-based artist Sarah Anne Johnson presents photographs from her recent series Arctic Wonderland. On Saturday, a new video work by Montreal artist Adad Hannah is paired with a selection of recent paintings by the London, Ontario–based painter Patrick Howlett. On Sunday and Monday, Montreal-based sculptor David Armstrong Six joins veteran abstractionist Christian Eckart, who will open a major new installation commission in Toronto in the coming months.
MEET CANADIAN ART’S EDITOR
A discussion of the exhibitions with Canadian Art editor Richard Rhodes takes place at 2 p.m. sharp on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
