art + design + intensive + studio+ hands-on + community
The Fine Arts Diploma Program at Langara College is an intense study of visual arts and design.
Our program emphasizes hands-on studio skills, with students gaining strong foundation skills in drawing, design, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, digital studio and public art. Students can expect to explore materials such as pixels, paint, clay, wood, metal, charcoal, ink, and plaster and master a range of tools from the paintbrush to the welder.
All of our courses are university-transferable, and our alumni go on to respected universities including Emily Carr and Concordia among others.
The Fine Arts department is passionate about learning and growth through deeply committed art and design education. We nourish our student’s creative expression and transformation at each stage of their unique process, and assist them to achieve their creative and educational goals.
